Various disciplinary and courses of engineering are Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer, Information Technology, Nano Technology, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Marine, Agriculture, Architecture, Chemical, Bio medical, Genetic, Nuclear, Military engineering etc. All courses of engineering are equally good, only matter is your interest in this field, passion, and attitude.

So, I am just giving you one suggestion for my fellow follower, do not pick a branch that you have not passionate about it and have no interests. On the other hand, What we do sometimes that we pick an engineering branch, just because of our parents or relative say’s or just because it promises high salary package. So, I am not saying that don’t listen to your parents or your good wishes, but follow your passion, what you really want to become, what coming from your soul and also follow your dream. Engineering is the most popular undergraduate course in India. There is lots of govt. and private college who offer engineering courses.

Clarifications On Entrance Exam

Most Demanding Branch in Engineering college should have UGC or AICTE affiliated approval. Even, every year around Lakhs of students are appearing for the joint entrance examination (JEE). Which is mandatory for every aspirant who wants to get a highly reputed government engineering college in India like IIT’s, IISc’s, ISM, NIT’s and IIIT’s and some other Central Government Technical Institutions. CBSE conducts JEE which consists two different examinations- JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Only those candidate are allowed to give JEE Advanced exam, those who clear the minimum cutoff for JEE Advanced exam in JEE Main exam.

On the other hand, some state and private engineering colleges also conduct their own entrance exams for undergraduate or post graduate admission for BE/B.Tech and M.Tech. Among Lakhs of students, those who appear for JEE only a few are students are selected. Those who crack this exam and got a good score. There is a minimum cut-off in JE exam for admission in IIT, IISc, and NIT. And the Private colleges also maintain a minimum cut-off mark.

The selection procedure of JEE will be based on score and rank that a candidate secure or achieved. Candidate should also be secured 75% marks in their board exams because the percentile marks in JEE will be based on your JEE score and your Board marks. So, JEE is the toughest and challenging exam and most number of students appearing for this exam in the world. So, competition is very high for getting a seat in IIT’s, NIT’s, IIIT’s and other Central Govt. Colleges.
